Sankofa Dance Theater And The Orchard School

Making their Bellows Falls debut, the Sankofa Dance Theater of Baltimore, Maryland will present an unforgettable evening of African dance, drama, and drumming on Friday, August 6 at 7:00 P.M. at the historic Bellows Falls Opera House. Together with The Orchard School community of East Alstead, New Hampshire, the Sankofa troupe brings to life a West African folktale, complete with the heartbeat of the drum, choreographed dance, costumes and scenery – all created by Orchard School campers in a week-long immersion experience led by Sankofa.
The suggested donation at door for the performance is $10 per adult, $20 per family. All proceeds will benefit the non-profit organizations of The Orchard School and Sankofa Dance Theater.
